To God alone be the glory !

Deut. 6:5 – “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.”

Blaise Pascal said : “there is in the heart of man a God-shaped vacuum.” This emptiness, my beloved, the Bible tells us to fill completely with the presence of God, if we have not yet done so.
And in fact, this presence should occupy all the space in our heart !

Those who say they do not believe in God are still always worshiping something: an ideal they pursue, a dream they cherish, a person, sometimes their own ego… Their heart is therefore filled with another worship, and there is no more room for the Creator God !

Jesus reminds the Samaritan woman in John 4:24, “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
And in every generation, God is still seeking men and women who worship Him with all their heart and who are thankful to Him for who they are, and for what God allows them to accomplish each day according to His will.

To acknowledge God in all that we see and in all that we are, is to worship Him !
No creature, no system can compete with the Creator of the universe.

Why does God want to be worshiped ?
— He is our Creator !
— He is also our Redeemer. In Exodus 20:2, God reminds His people that it is He who brought them out of Egypt. As for us, He has redeemed us and paid the price for our freedom. That is why the praise of the Christian should not be an option, but a natural and conscious expression of gratitude.
— Because He is holy ! Isaiah 6:3 “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory !”

The gap between iniquity and the holiness of God grows wider every day. If we had even the slightest idea of the holiness of God, our sin would take on unimaginable proportions !

Divided worship is treason before God. Jesus said in Matt. 6:24, “No one can serve two masters. For either he will hate the one and love the other…”
As soon as something takes first place—the place that belongs to God—it becomes an idol.

It can be your spouse, your children, your career, your sport, your pastor, your church, the arts, literature, etc.
But God claims first place in your heart—and all the place!

Revelation reminds us of this with power:
“To Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be praise and honor and glory and power, forever and ever!” Rev. 5:13

Let us honestly ask ourselves today: who is reigning on the altar of our heart ?

The Lord is calling us to a pure, simple, and wholehearted worship.
And may our heart finally become what it was meant to be from the beginning: a place of glory and a living sanctuary for the one true God.

“To the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, power and authority, before all time, and now, and for all eternity. Amen !” Jude 25
