... is opening before us!
Dear friends,
we are coming to the end of a year that has been rich in global geopolitical and climatic events—events that show us that God’s clock is moving forward and that the return of the Lord Jesus is drawing near ! For the Christian, this is a cause for great joy. Moving from one year to another is simply a moment on the calendar; it shouldn’t unsettle us, but encourage us.
At this year’s end, let us not allow our faith to be stolen by weariness, disappointments, desert seasons, or the noise of the world. Let’s not dwell on the past ! The Lord has not brought us this far to abandon us now.
If we have fallen, we get back up. If we have grown cold, we return to the source. If we are discouraged, we remember that God also works in silence.
We arrive at the end of the year with our reflections: joys, wounds, answered prayers… and others still waiting.
If He has carried us this far, He will carry us still. If He has lifted us up this year, He will also know how to open a path for the next.
Let us not measure our lives by the emotions of the moment. God’s faithfulness does not depend on feelings, nor on “results.” God sees the tears no one saw, the battles we never spoke about, the prayers we whispered with an exhausted heart. And He honors our perseverance.
So let’s end this year by choosing one simple thing : to stay close to Jesus.
Not just in words, but in truth. Let’s open the Bible, pray, and forgive—even when it’s difficult.
Let’s cut off everything that draws us away from God. Let’s rekindle the altar, even with a small flame.
May the coming year find us more rooted, more sober-minded, more free. Not perfect—but attached to the Lord. He strengthens weak hands, lifts up the one who is bowed down, and leads with kindness those who humble themselves before Him.
At this year’s end, let’s not celebrate only a turning calendar : let’s remember that God remains faithful, even when we have wavered.
May this new year be a year of peace, growth, and trust—not because everything will be easy, but because the Lord goes before us.
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Hebrews 13:8
So let us close this past year with gratitude… and open the next with faith.
I pray that this new year will bring us:
— peace for the things we cannot change,
— healing for what has wounded us,
— wisdom for the future,
— perseverance in opposition,
— and above all, a faith that is simpler, deeper, and more alive.
May God keep us, and may He fill our home with His presence.
Franz
